Frog

The Front-line gravity system or "frog",  is a two crewed (pilot and gunner) boarding armoured unit and direct fire support for the Para-shocks while in operation with the Long Patrol.  Primarily designed to give the Para-shocks in situ inertics and gravitics coverage. The "Frog" for its mass possesses an out sized en-tropic decay reactor with direct matter feed option that will allow swift suit and drone recharge and operation of several crew served energy weapons fed by either beamed or cabled power and the recharge of electron compression cells.  

Its primary purpose is to counter ship board gravity systems and counter boarding mechanisms and forces while providing direct fire support primarily from its TIW Savage “blockbuster” hell bore and its multiple non integrated modular secondary weapons systems provide a defense umbrella.  The platform also allows high energy scanning specifically through super high density internal bulkheads or indeed at close range even heavy exterior armor and acts as a logistics platform.  

The Frogs are commonly draped in excess equipment packs and and can be fitted with a variety of ablative shells to allow increased survival while in transit or even re-entry, though while sluggish in atmosphere an incapable of independently achieving orbital velocity (generally recovery is mid air) they can operate as quite effective gunships as a secondary roll and excel at nap of the earth subsonic flight.  

The Frog does not possess a omni-directional battle screen, rather a uni-directional screen can be pulse generated. This is generally done when intercepting munitions or in the forward arc during the operation and after effects of its hellbore. Though it can and is used to screen assaults and assist with the initial boarding action.   

The frog in addition to its weapons bays and the spinal mounted hellbore also has two primary integrated laseing generators to power its four 120 megajoule rated UV laser turrets through a simple optical network and forty 50mm multi purpose launch brackets which are generally loaded with a mix of obscurant, decoys, screamers and counter munition hyper velocity munitions.  

Frogs generally operate in concert with power armoured para-shock troops and a considerably denser drone halo than the suits alone would support , including a variety of small optical bounce drones capable of giving its UV lasers beyond LOS engagement capability. Though costly, especially considering the miniaturization the front-line gravity systems are a vital support element in ship borne Para-shock operations and there mini hellbores capable of tens to kiloton level pulses are utterly devastating as both breaching tools and suppression weapons.
