Maelstrom class striker

The Maelstrom class subspace striker (ZMSF SS-19) are the first ZMSF fully operational subspace craft based on technology based on the unique equipment produced by the military industrial complex of The Empire of Oyada.

The Maelstroms cruiser scale hull is primarily built around its subspace keel and drive initiator blade that make up what is termed the keel array. A high volume exotic spinal system that is fed by a dedicated series of sequenced REDACTED reactor REDACTED stacks that feed into REDACTED which itself feeds into a massive bow emitter system. The keel array allows the highly non conventional Maelstrom platform to close unobserved in subspace to the enemy before delivering a hammer blow of strategic arms via her delivery tubes.

The Maelstrom was designed specifically for use by the Strategic Space Command as a weapon of deterrent to peer and above Sol sector powers and a delivery system for strategic weapons of mass destruction. Though other classes are being considered the Maelstrom is the first under series production and over 40 are due to be built in the REDACTED facility in the Astin system.

The class was rushed into production given the repeated shown lack of true strategic throw weight compared to peer powers in the sol region. While in no way matching the gross destructive firepower of a TCYS platform the Maelstroms world braking payload of warheads can be delivered with almost no warning and few effective methods of defense other than mutual deterrence.

The Maelstroms subspace endurance can be measured in low multiple months and though its limit remains classified it is thought to be at least REDACTED days. The class must enter normal space to engage transit drive for FTL.

Powerplant
The conventional powerplant of the Maelstrom consists of eight super high density 775 gallon entropic decay reactors generating 19.7 gigahorses feeding into an exotic recombination field based lens system that REDACTED and can then interface with the subspace strata and REDACTED for a thrust ofREDACTED.

Normal space Drive systems consist of ZMSF standard transit FTL and conventional gravitic drive cone
